✝️ Scripture

"He replied, β€œYou of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm."
Matthew 8:26 β€” Read Full Chapter β†—

✝️ Devotional

Storms reveal what we trust in most. It is easy to say we trust God when life feels calm, but difficulties expose where our confidence truly lies.

When the disciples were trapped in a violent storm, Jesus was asleep in the boat. To them, it looked like He did not care. Yet the entire time, the One who controls the wind and sea was already with them.

Sometimes life feels exactly like that storm. Problems pile up. Anxiety grows louder. Prayers seem unanswered. You wonder if God sees what you are going through. But faith reminds us that God’s silence is not abandonment.

The presence of storms does not mean the absence of God.

Faith is not pretending everything is perfect. Faith is choosing to trust God in imperfect situations. It is believing that even when life shakes, God remains steady.

Some storms are not sent to destroy you. Some are sent to strengthen you, deepen you, and teach you to rely on God more than yourself.

The waves may rise, but they cannot remove God from your boat.

✝️ Reflection Questions

1

What storm or challenge am I facing right now?

2

When life becomes difficult, do I move closer to God or further away?

3

How can I remind myself that God is still with me during hard times?

✝️ Prayer

Jesus, help me trust You even when life feels overwhelming. Calm my anxious heart and remind me that You are always with me. Amen.
