✝️ Scripture

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life"
Romans 6:4 — Read Full Chapter ↗

✝️ Devotional

Now that Easter is over, the real question begins: What do we do with the life we've been given? If the tomb is empty and the debt is paid, we can't just go back to the "old way" of living—the old stresses, the old habits, and the old fears.

The benefit of the Resurrection isn't just that Jesus got His life back; it’s that He gave us a brand-new one. Paul explains that we didn't just watch Him rise; we rose with Him. That means the "version" of you that was weighed down by past mistakes or held back by "not being enough" was left in that grave on Friday.

Walking in "new life" on a Wednesday means refusing to let the old version of yourself dictate your day. It means choosing hope when the routine feels dry and choosing confidence when you feel unqualified. You aren't just "trying harder" to be a better person; you are living from the reality that the old you is gone and the new you is powered by the same glory that raised Christ. Today, don't just survive the week—live like someone who has been brought back from the dead.

✝️ Reflection Questions

1

What is one "old habit" or "old fear" from your past that you keep trying to drag into your new life?

2

If you truly believed you were living a "new life" starting today, what is the first thing you would change about your morning routine?

3

When you look in the mirror today, do you see someone struggling to get by, or do you see someone who has been raised to life by the glory of the Father?

✝️ Prayer

Lord, thank You for the new life You’ve given me. Help me to leave the old versions of myself in the grave where they belong. Today, I choose to walk in the freedom and power of Your resurrection. Give me the strength to live as someone who has truly been changed by Your grace. Amen.
