Small Faith, Big God

✝️ Scripture

" He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”"
Matthew 17:20 — Read Full Chapter ↗

✝️ Devotional

Sometimes we think faith has to look dramatic to matter. We think we need giant confidence, perfect prayers, or unshakable belief before God can use us. But Jesus said even faith as small as a mustard seed carries power.

A seed looks tiny and insignificant, yet hidden inside it is life, growth, and potential. In the same way, your small faith matters to God. That little prayer before bed matters. That quiet decision to keep trusting Him matters. That tiny hope you are holding onto in secret matters.

God specializes in using small things. He used a shepherd boy to defeat a giant. He used five loaves and two fish to feed thousands. He used ordinary fishermen to spread the gospel across nations. The miracle was never in the size of what people had. The miracle was in whose hands it was placed.

Stop disqualifying yourself because you feel spiritually weak sometimes. Faith is not about pretending to never doubt. Faith is choosing to keep turning toward God even while fighting doubt.

Your faith may feel small today, but your God is not small.

✝️ Reflection Questions

1

Have I been doubting myself more than trusting God lately?

2

What “small beginning” in my life could God still use greatly?

3

How can I strengthen my faith even in ordinary moments?

✝️ Prayer

Father, thank You for meeting me even in my weakness. Grow my faith daily and help me remember that small faith in a big God is still powerful. Amen.
