The Current Power

✝️ Scripture
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know... his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead."Ephesians 1:18-20 — Read Full Chapter ↗
✝️ Devotional
It’s easy to feel the "Victory" when the music is playing and everyone is shouting "He is risen!" It’s a lot harder to feel it on a Tuesday morning when the to-do list is long, the weather is hot, and the "normal" pressures of life are staring you in the face.
The danger of Easter is treating it like a yearly event we visit and then leave behind. But the benefit of the Resurrection isn't a memory; it's a current reality. Paul writes that the exact same power that physically brought Jesus back to life is the power available to you right now.
That means you aren't tackling this Tuesday in your own strength. You have access to "Resurrection Power" for the mundane stuff—the patience for difficult people, the discipline to focus on your goals, and the peace to handle stress. If God could handle the finality of the grave, He can certainly handle your Tuesday. Don't leave the victory at the empty tomb; bring it with you into everything you do today.
✝️ Reflection Questions
In what area of your life do you feel "powerless" or drained this morning?
How would your attitude change today if you really believed the same power that raised Jesus is working in you right now?
What is one task today that you’ve been dreading? How can you approach it with "Victory" energy instead of "Survival" energy?
✝️ Prayer
Lord, thank You that the Resurrection wasn't just for Sunday. I ask that You would enlighten the eyes of my heart today. Help me to tap into Your incomparably great power as I handle my responsibilities. When I feel tired or overwhelmed, remind me that the same strength that raised Christ is living in me. Amen.
